Amid Federal Ban on Foreign Drones, Birdstop Launches New Generation of Detroit-Made Drones

Birdstop announced the launch of a new generation of American-made drones manufactured in Detroit, expanding its fleet as federal restrictions on foreign-made systems accelerate domestic demand.

Birdstop today announced the launch of Fealty, a new generation of fully American-made autonomous drones designed, assembled, and tested in Detroit. The launch comes as federal restrictions on drones built with components from foreign manufacturers continue to expand, accelerating domestic demand for trusted, U.S.-built systems.

Fealty is a weatherproof, autonomous quadcopter that lives on a self-charging perch and launches in under three seconds from a remote operator command. Optical zoom and thermal cameras are pre-trained on the event location before the aircraft is even airborne, putting live HD video in front of operators and first responders before they leave the door.

Every component in the Fealty system, from the flight controller to the radios, cameras, and GPS modules, is sourced and assembled in compliance with the NDAA and federal Covered List. SOC 2 controls protect every byte of data in transit and at rest.

Birdstop's manufacturing facility in Detroit is currently shipping units to customers in public safety, utilities, transportation, and critical infrastructure sectors across the United States.
